Im not gonna lie, it was scramble to leave town on thursday as my fam and I ran around town finishing errands. On top of all this, road conditions were horrid but we managed to avoid ditch diving (a common solution in Alaska to avoid rear ending someone as a result of speeding on icy roads with limited visibility) thanks to my Pops and an all-wheel-drive caravan.
Fast-forwarding now, the ferry ride from Whittier to Juneau was fairly uneventful, that is assuming you don’t consider talking about the future of Alaska with Representative Sharon Cissna while swaying about because of 10-foot swells. Later that evening my sister and I even went on the top deck where we battled the dark windy wet night by power walking and doing pushups.

Left to right: Erika, Will, and way in the back is Robert who is waving and his friend Bob. More on Robert the Romanian later.
Which brings us to Juneau, AK where the three of us are changing from studed winter tires to our sweet Schwalbe summer treads just outside of Dennis’s (picture to come) condo in the hallway. After getting them pumped up, Erika checks the pressure with her pump and sure enough the pressure is about 20lbs below the max. If your a cyclist you may know where this is going. BANG! Blew up right in my face. The sound of the pop + echo was so massive that when i spoke, Erika said I sounded like a chip monk. I thought so too. We laughed, and now I need to get a new tube.

Oki is in love
